Rev. Emily Kuenker

Emily currently serves as the Pastor/Organizer for Grace Commons Spokane. She has been engaged in public ministry for over a decade serving in youth, outdoor, and parish ministries. Emily received her Master’s of Divinity from Luther Seminary, was ordained in 2021, and went on to serve Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Logan, Utah until moving to Spokane in 2023. A Colorado native, she enjoys time outdoors (particularly in the Spokane River), reading, baking bread, and hunting for the best chai in town.

Emily is passionate about accompanying young adults through the work of Grace Commons Spokane, trusting in the leadership, zeal, and integrity they bring to the Church.

Board

Pastor Joel Skindlov

President

I serve Grace Commons because Young Adults are the present and future of the church!  The message of Christ's love and grace is needed now more than ever.  I desire to support young adults and college students as they discover and share their God given purposes for the sake of the world.

Diane Zemke, PhD

Vice President

I serve Grace Commons because God is doing something new and I want to be part of it.

Jody Harris

Treasurer/Secretary

I serve Grace Commons because I want to help make a positive impact on the faith journey of young adults and to contribute to the growth and success of the organization.

Ellie Powers

Member at Large

I serve Grace Commons because in my work at Lutherhaven Ministries I get to rub shoulders with young adults during their time on summer staff. Outside of summer, I'm glad we have organizations that walk alongside young adults while at school and early adulthood.

Pastor Tom Inch

Member at Large

I serve Grace Commons because serving on the board continues my roughly 40 years of ordained ministry, much of which has centered around Youth and Young Adult ministry.
